It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kes Klare, aged 81, on April 16, 2022.
In 2008 at the EOA Congress in Brno/Czech Republic Kes was appointed as the first webmaster of the EOA. It was he who built the first EOA website, both in designing it and reliably maintaining it, until the EOA Congress in Copenhagen/Denmark in 2017, after which time he was always still available to offer assistance.
The aims and ambitions of the EOA were very close to his heart. With his dedication, his kindness and commitment, together with his gravity for the endeavours of EOA and his sense of humour, he was greatly appreciated in the EOA family. He was always an important companion to the EOA-EC during his active years; not only did he support the EOA EC for many years but was especially committed to supporting his wife Ria Smeijers in her role as EOA Vice President (2004-2011) and further as President (2011-2017).
We are shocked and saddened by his sudden death and our condolences go out to Ria and the rest of his family.
He will be greatly missed.
