EOA Conference 2020 / 2021 in Italy

Dear friends.

Do you remember the title from the president‘s message of January last?  It was:  „Please be there.“  Now it is very clear that we can‘t be in Garda in April as we had planned and prepared.  The virus that has been plaguing the world has made it inevitable to postpone the EOA conference in Garda.   That is a joint decision of the EOA-EC and FAIS.  The vote of members has decided that the EOA conference will take place in April next year. The result was very clear, 19 out of 27 that voted decided on that.

Dear friends.

Finally preparations for the conference in Garda are almost over.  We have had some last minute problems but they have been dealt with and are over.  The registration forms for the conference and for the hotel will be sent to you shortly and are also available at the EOA website. I know that I speak for both the EOA EC and FAIS when I say that we hope to see as many of you there as possible.

Save the date: EOA Conference 2020 in Italy

Dear friends.

I hope that all of you have had a nice summer so far and a good vacation. But I am very pleased to ask all of you to set aside the dates of 15-19 of April 2020. These are the dates for the next EOA conference which will be held at Garda, about 35 km from the city of Verona in northern Italy. The board of the Italian Ostomy Association FAIS has begun preparations for the conference and me and more members of the EOA-EC will meet with them in October for more planning.  I look very much forward to see as many of you in April 2020 in Italy. Further information on this important conference will be published on the EOA website in time.

Dear friends.

When we were together in Copenhagen last year there was a lot of discussion about EOA talking with European Union authorities in Brussels and even more large organizations such as the Red Cross and World Health Organization. We in EOA made ourselves visible at an Open Day in the Parliament of EU in Brussels at the beginning of December 2017. Two delegates from EOA were invited to take part in discussions there and they made EOA both seen and heard with a few questions that the EOA-EC together had prepared in advance. So far nothing concrete has come from this effort but we plan to try to do this again. If we go there often enough perhaps we will be heard in the end. If any of our member organizations have the possibility to get invited to this event they should perhaps try for that. The more in numbers we are there, the louder we can be. President Message

Dear friends,

Now it is about a month since we departed in Copenhagen after a short but very fruitful conference. We had quite a few interesting lectures, we had talks and a few laughs. When we can laugh together we know that we are among friends. I thank all those that came to Copenhagen and to those that weren’t able to come I can only say that I hope to see them on our next conference in Italy.

Dear EOA Members, dear friends,

With pride and great joy I invite you all to our 15th EOA Congress, which will be from 5th October to 8th October 2017 in Høje Taastrup (near Copenhagen, Denmark).

The EOA-EC, in co-operation with the organizing committee of the Danish Ostomy Association COPA, has prepared an interesting programme. COPA will set-up a special website, where you will find all the information about the Congress.

Dear EOA Members, dear friends,

60th Anniversity of IA
